The New New Internet comes to Washington D.C.

It’s finally here. A serious Web 2.0 event on the East Coast – The New New Internet Conference (TNNI).

What is it?
tnni_badge.jpgTNNI is not just a “Hey, the web is cool again conference.” It’s focused on Web 2.0 for Business and the selected speakers show that commitment. Andrew McAfee is an Associate Professor at Harvard Business School and has written thought provoking pieces about Enterprise 2.0. Then there is Dion Hinchcliffe, who has blogged prolifically about Web 2.0 and who recently launched his own Enterprise Web 2.0 advisory services.

The full slate of speakers is quite impressive, including Jason Goldberg the CEO of Jobster and Mike Arrington of the ever popular TechCrunch.

What to expect?
The event will have a little bit of everything including some great networking opportunities (ones for the Web 2.0 savvy too), keynotes, and a Technology Showcase chaired by Jonathan Aberman of Amplifier Venture Partners. If interested, the full schedule is available.

When and where?
September 20th 2006
The Ritz-Carlton
Tyson’s Corner, VA

Did I mention it’s on the East Coast? OK, this might seem over the top but it’s exciting to finally see something happening on the East Coast and right in my backyard (the Ritz is literally 2 minutes from my place).

While not helping on the actual day of the conference, I’m a Blog Partner for the event and they’ve agreed to give my readers a $50 discount. Just use the promo code “technosight” when you register.
