Responding to Product, Service, or Company Introductions

As a one-man show, I simply don’t have the time to respond to all product, service, and company introductions I receive. That’s not to say I don’t read or at least peruse them, so feel free to continue to send them over.

If you are interested in more than just free press or link love and would like me to take a serious and formal look at your product or service, then please let me know that in your e-mail. Fortunate for me, my time is precious these days, so unless your product really wows me (which is increasingly becoming more difficult to do), it is likely I won’t be able to dedicate any time to it without compensation.

The good news is that I can turn that type of work around quickly and cost effectively (not to mention the fact that the write-up I give you is available to you only and not to all potential competitors via my blog). For more strategic or extensive efforts, I’d probably put together a proposal versus just a quick quote – it just depends on your needs.

So, in conclusion:

1) Feel free to keep sending me product, service, or company introductions.

2) Realize that I may not respond.

3) If you truly are looking for consulting work, be sure to let me know in your e-mail. In that case, I’ll do my best to respond within 2-3 business days.
