Lowdown App – Software Project Management Using Cucumber

LowdownThere were some pretty cool Rails Rumble entries this year but one that immediately caught my eye was Lowdown. Lowdown is a software project management tool that allows PM’s, designers, and developers use Cucumber to describe and manage product features.

The response to Lowdown was significant enough that the developers temporarily shut it down and re-launched as a more serious effort. I finally took a look and decided it would be fun to do so as an “unboxing.” The screencast below is my first use of the product. Near the end, I briefly discuss Lowdown in relation to tools like Unfuddle.

Note: Sorry that the browser is a little hard to see. I wanted to try QuickTime Player’s new screen recording feature and it wasn’t initially clear how to specify the recording region (and it’s still not now).
